December 2022

  1. The Club makes approaches to the authorities regarding the environmental authorization and the calculation of compensation in case of drought and the elimination of the obligation of the annual approval of the environmental authorization. The Club's proposal entered public consultation.


November 2022

  1. The Club launches the second edition of the "Entrepreneur in Agriculture 4.0" program, in which 32 farmers participate from all regions of the country.
  2. The Club organizes the press conference for the CONCORDE Project.
  3. The Club organizes meetings of the Agrinnovator working group with the Minister of European Investments and Projects and the Minister of Environment, Water and Forests.
  4. The Club submits to MADR's attention a Memorandum regarding the Luduș Sugar Factory.
  5. The Romanian Farmers' Club addresses a letter to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development requesting the revision of the calculation formula presented in Annex 1 to GEO no. 157 of November 17, 2022.


October 2022

  1. The Club sends specific observations to MIPE regarding the funding call dedicated to the digitization of SMEs, whose guidelines are under public debate.
  2. The Romanian Farmers' Club and the "Cartoful" National Federation from Romania, send a joint address to MMAP in which they present the situation of the potato sector at national level and an analysis for the recovery of the trade deficit related to this sector by identifying investments in the development of individual warehouses.
  3. The Club launches the fourth edition of the "Young Leaders for Performing Agriculture" program, in which 105 young people participate, both from Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
  4. The Club proposes to MMAP the identification of the most efficient method of financing, which would serve the storage needs of the potato growing sector in Romania.
  5. The Club organizes 11 regional meetings with farmers at national level, in October and November.


September 2022

  1. The Club sends an address to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MADR) and the Ministry of European Investments and Projects (MIPE) with proposals for the allocation of funds to the infrastructure of land improvements in the framework of negotiations with European representatives regarding the modification of the current form of the PNRR.
  2. The Think Tank on Strategy for Agriculture within the Club submits to MADR and MIPE an analysis on the current difficulties of the pig sector and a set of measures and actions to contribute to balancing Romania's trade balance of agri-food products for this sector.
  3. The Club submits to MIPE a summary of the investment requirements for updating the technological capital of the Romanian agricultural sector.
  4. Letter addressed to MIPE and MADR regarding the financing of investments in agriculture from PNRR.
  5. Letter addressed to MADR regarding the proposal for the Program for relaunching and restructuring the Vertical Agri-Food of Pigs.


August 2022

  1. The Club sends an address to the MADR requesting the analysis of the situation in which the final form of the GD regarding the granting of exceptional aid to agricultural producers in the vegetable sector, whereby the eligibility of financing should also include young plantations, which face real difficulties until the moment they can capitalize on their own production.
  2. The Club sends the petition "Romanian agriculture needs water for Europe to ensure its food security", signed by over 800 successful farmers and addressed to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of European Investments and Projects - for the urgent request to the European Commission to amend the PNRR, by including the financing of agricultural programs, and supporting the inclusion in the PNRR of financing dedicated to the rehabilitation and modernization of hydro-ameliorative structures - irrigation, drying, combating soil erosion.
  3. Joint interventions of the Romanian Farmers' Club and the "Potato" National Federation to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development regarding the potato cultivation sector: the situation of available financing, in the current form of the PNS (measure DR-14); re-examining the decision to reduce from 50 million EURO to 20 million EURO the amount allocated to this sector; the reallocation of the available budget from the de minimis aid scheme related to 2022.
  4. The Club sends proposals to MADR for areas with significant natural constraints (steps taken with the European Commission/DG AGRI to adopt a calculation model that uses indices to correctly measure the effects of drought and update the maps after the implementation of the new weather station system).


July 2022

  1. The Romanian Farmers' Club presents to the delegation of the European Parliament an analysis of the impact of the war in Ukraine over the flows of transport and the valorization of grain using the logistics infrastructure related to the Port of Constanța and the Danube transport.
  2. The Club proposes an action plan to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to eliminate the commercial and logistical pressure on the entire Romanian agribusiness distribution chain.
  3. The Romanian Farmers' Club and "Cartoful" National Federation from Romania informs, through joint addresses sent to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, some aspects related to the procedure for granting the "Minimis aid" scheme also to the farmers in the southern part of the country, as well as reallocation of the remaining budget under this scheme to the farmers declared eligible until the expiry of the submission period.


June 2022

  1. The Club launches a public petition to attract the support of farmers regarding the financing of irrigation and drainage systems through the necessary financial allocation in the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.


May 2022

  1. The Club launches the registrations for the second series of the "Entrepreneur in Agriculture 4.0" program (2022-2023), where 50 farmer participants with at least 5 years of managerial experience are expected to participate.
  2. The National Conference "Young Leaders for Agriculture" takes place, attended by 300 people: the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of the Environment, Forests and Waters, of the partner universities of the Club, the young graduates from the first three series of the program, performant farmers from all regions of the country, leading companies in the field of innovative technologies for agriculture, representatives of other farmers' associations in Romania, the educational partners of the program, mass media with an agricultural and business profile.
  3. The Club sends a position paper to the Ministry of European Investments and Projects regarding micro-grants and grants for working capital.
  4. The Club submits a position paper on the irrigation law.


April 2022

  1. Romanian Farmers' Club and the "Potato" National Federation from Romania submit to the Ministry of Agriculture a joint proposal regarding vegetable coupled support for the potato sector and de minimis aid.
  2. The Club sends a position paper to the Ministry of Environment, Water and Forests regarding the environmental authorization.
  3. The Club sends to the press the press release regarding the biomass study, the irrigation law, and the minimum wage for agriculture.


March 2022

  1. Romanian Farmers' Club and the "Potato" National Federation from Romania submit to the Ministry of Agriculture several joint proposals regarding support measures for the potato sector and the minimis aid.
  2. The Club submits to the Ministry of Agriculture proposals regarding the modernization fund to improve energy efficiency.


February 2022

  1. The Club announces the expansion in the territory by establishing 10 regional offices. The first regional structures are organized in the Center, Moldova Center and Banat regions.
  2. The Club launches registrations for the fourth series of the "Young Leaders for Agriculture" program (2022-2023), where 120 young farmer participants are expected.
  3. The more than 800 members of the Club, which have joined the Association since December 2018, include the most competitive agricultural producers in Romania and a total arable area of more than 800,000 ha.
  4. The Club submits to the Ministry of Agriculture proposals regarding risk management (agricultural insurance), changes and interventions in the National Strategic Plan (eco-schemes, green crops).
  5. The Club submits to the Agriculture Commission of the Chamber of Deputies of the Romanian Parliament a position paper on the draft law on unfair commercial practices.

  1. The Club submits to the Ministry of Agriculture several proposals to modify the interventions for National Strategic Plan: agricultural producers, investments in irrigation, agriculture, processing and energy efficiency, young farmers, livestock coupled support, eco-schemes.

  3. The Club makes available to the national authorities the Study "The role of biomass in environmental conservation, rural development and the resilience of agricultural farms", with the aim of identifying financing lines for this agricultural product.

2021

December 2021

  1. Romanian Farmers' Club offers consulting services on agricultural machinery, which it’s a premiere in Romania for a farmers' association. The purpose of the Club is to ensure the representation of farmers in the relationship with manufacturers and distributors of agricultural machinery, with local and central authorities, to identify solutions applied to the problems faced by farmers in relation to agricultural machinery.
  2. The Club launches the managerial training program "Entrepreneur in Agriculture 4.0", addressed to farmers with at least 5 years of managerial experience, interested in learning and applying new business models, capable of ensuring the resilience and competitiveness of farms. 21 farmers from all regions of the country participate in the first series. For the second series, the Club aims to attract 50 participants to the program.
  3. Romanian Farmers' Club and the "Potato" National Federation from Romania send to the Ministry of Agriculture a series of proposals for the adoption of urgent support measures for the potato sector.


November 2021

  1. Romanian Farmers' Club and the Aberdeen Angus Association send to the Ministry of Agriculture proposals for measures to support the livestock sector in Romania.
  2. The Club submits proposals to the Ministry of Agriculture regarding risk management (agriculture insurance).


October 2021

  1. The Club launches the third series of the "Young Leaders for Agriculture" program (2021-2022), in which 58 people participate and thus the first 3 series count 105 participating young farmers. The association's goal is to train 1,000 young farmers by 2027-2028. The Agricover Group financially supports the courses for the participants.
  2. The Club actively participates in working groups and subgroups organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to develop the future National Strategic Plan.
  3. The Club submits to the Ministry of Agriculture a proposal for 27 eco-schemes to be included in the National Strategic Plan, developed on the basis of consultations with farmers who are members of the association, from the regional working groups.
  4. The Club is the only association in Romania that requests and obtains the extension of the deadline for submitting funding applications to AFIR for Sub measure 17.1 (from October 31 to December 16, 2021).


August 2021

  1. Romanian Farmers’ Club launches, coordinates and finances the study "The role of biomass in environmental conservation, rural development and the resilience of agricultural farms", carried out by the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Banat from Timisoara in collaboration with the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, during August – December 2021.
  2. The Club announces publicly the record productions achieved by Romania farmers in the big culture and requests support measures and investments in processing activities and the storage infrastructure to capitalize on these productions.


July 2021

  1. The Club implements a new coordination mechanism of the Association: the rotating Presidency which is ensured for successive periods of 6 months by each member of the Board of Directors.
  2. The Club organizes in Banat the first working group for the development of the National Strategy for integrated water management for agriculture, with the participation of the performant farmers from the region, the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture and USAMVB from Timisoara.
  3. Romanian Farmers' Club together with the "Potato" National Federation organizes the National Conference "Strategy for the development of the potato sector 2021-2027", and they present the proposal for the development of a National Strategic Plan for the relaunch and development of the potato sector in Romania.


June 2021

  1. The Club launches to the Ministry of Agriculture and publicly the proposal regarding the development of a National Strategy for integrated water and soil management for agriculture, because of the removal from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan of the funding line for the reconstruction of the national drainage infrastructure.
  2. Romanian Farmers' Club launches the CONCORDE Project to promote and ensure compliance with good practices in grain trade.
  3. The Club becomes a member of GAFTA, The Grain and Feed Trade Association, as a guarantee for the development and implementation of CONCORDE Project. It’s for the first time in Romania that a farmers' association becomes a member of GAFTA.


April 2021

  1. The Club signs a collaboration protocol with the "Potato" National Federation from Romania, to promote and support the interests of potato grower farmers. The two organizations request the Ministry of Agriculture and publicly a coupled support for potato production and they are taking the first steps regarding the development of a National Strategic Plan for the relaunch of this sector.
  2. The Club launches weekly consultations with farmers in regional working groups, for the elaboration of eco-scheme proposals for the National Strategic Plan.


March 2021

  1. The Romanian Farmers' Club and the Coalition for the Development of Romania adopt a common position regarding the merger and consolidation of agricultural land and take steps at the level of the national authorities regarding this subject of major interest for farmers.


February 2021

  1. The Club requests the authorities and obtains the increase of the funds allocated in 2021 to Sub measure 17.1, from 10 million euros to 31 million euros.


January 2021

  1. The Club submits to the Ministry of Agriculture a position paper on the financial impact of the pedological drought on farmers' businesses.
  2. The Club makes available to the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration the "Study on the need to rehabilitate, modernize and expand hydro-improvement facilities in South-West Romania", which was at the basis of the analysis and financial allocation decision from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, for the restoration and upgrading the national drainage and drainage infrastructure.

December 2020

  1. The Club submits to the Ministry of Agriculture and AFIR new proposals to modify and improve the eligibility conditions and the rules regarding the AFIR guide for Sub measure 17.1.
  2. The delegation of the Romanian Farmers Club, performant farmers from all regions of the country, is traveling to Brussels, with the aim of supporting and promoting the interests of Romanian farmers at the EC - DG Agri, EP - ComAgri, Copa-Cogeca, ELO and CEJA, in the context of negotiations regarding post-2020 CAP reform.


October 2020

  1. The Club launches the second series of the "Young Leaders for Agriculture" program (2020-2021), which enrolls 30 young farmers. In 2020, several young farmers participate in internships at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Forests, the Agriculture Commission of the Chamber of Deputies of the Romanian Parliament.
  2. The Club sends its official position against capping to all Romanian MEPs and signs, together with 11 European associations, the document with arguments against capping, and sends it by e-mail to all the members of the European Parliament.


September 2020

  1. The Club submits to the Ministry of Agriculture the proposals for modification and completion of the document on the Needs Analysis to develop the National Strategic Plan.
  2. The Club submits to the Romanian Parliament arguments against the draft law on the sale of diesel fuel, by highlighting the negative impact on agriculture.
  3. The Club organizes consultations with farmers and the teams of the Ministry of Agriculture and AFIR to improve the conditions in the AFIR guide for Sub measure 17.1 in favor of farmers.


August 2020

  1. The Club calls for state aid for drought-affected farmers and the dairy sector.
  2. The Club signals publicly the low impact of grain production on agricultural businesses, due to the drought, in the medium and long term.


June 2020

  1. Romanian Farmers' Club becomes a member of the European Landowners' Organization (ELO).
  2. The Club appeals to the most important farmers' associations in Romania to support the proposal regarding the expansion of the local irrigation system, submitted to the national authorities.
  3. The Club submits to the national authorities its position regarding the amendment of the law on the sale of agricultural land (Law no. 17/2014).
  4. The Club sends an official address to the Romanian Parliament regarding the diesel marketing project and the changes aimed at distribution activities to farmers.


May 2020

  1. Romanian Farmers’ Club becomes a shareholder in the Insurance Broker Romanian Farmers Club, following the acquisition of 48.98% of the shares of Agricover Broker de Asigurare SRL. It’s the first time in Romania that a farmers' association (an NGO) enters as a shareholder in an insurance broker on the agricultural insurance market.
  2. The Club launches a banking assistance service, free of charge for Club members, who meet the eligibility criteria for accessing the facilities provided by GEO 48/2020 regarding some financial-fiscal measures.
  3. The Club provides grain marketing advisory and commercial contract mediation services to the interested farmers and provides weekly grain market reports to the member farmers.
  4. The Club proposes to the national authorities (Government, Ministry of Agriculture, Presidency) an Emergency Ordinance draft for an Aid Scheme for the irrigation system at the local level.
  5. The Club requests and obtains confirmation from the Ministry of Public Finance regarding the inclusion in the category of eligible beneficiaries of agricultural companies organized according to Law no. 36/1991 in the IMM INVEST Program.


April 2020

  1. The Club submits an address to the authorities, with elements of a technical-economic analysis regarding the estimated impact on the grain market of Military Ordinance no. 8.
  2. The Club sends addresses to the authorities requesting granting of compensation to the farmers affected by the drought and to support and protect the Romanian producers in the poultry meat market.
  3. The Club requests MADR and AFIR to simplify the AFIR guide for Sub measure 17.1 and submits reasoned proposals based on consultations with farmers. The simplified guide is published in May 2020.


March 2020

  1. The Romanian Farmers' Club makes available to the authorities in Romania and Brussels the Study carried out by the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Banat from Timisoara, regarding the hydro-improvement facilities in the Banat region. Based on this study, the Romanian authorities allocates the necessary funds for the rehabilitation and modernization of the drainage infrastructure and drainage at the national level, in the first version of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
  2. The Club submits proposals for modification and completion regarding the SWOT Analysis version 2 carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to draw up the National Strategic Plan.
  3. The Club submits to the authorities a series of proposals for measures to support Romanian agriculture during the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak.

  1. The second National Conference of the Romanian Farmers’ Club takes place at the Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest, attended by 1,500 people, including over 1,200 farmers from all regions of the country, together with representatives from the management of institutions in Brussels and Romania responsible for agriculture, European farmers' associations, national and international financial institutions, and major agricultural technology providers and insurance companies.
  2. The Club submits proposals for modification and completion regarding the SWOT Analysis carried out by Ministery of Agriculture and Rural Development, in order to elaborate the National Strategic Plan.

2019

October 2019

  1. The Romanian Farmers' Club launches the "Young Leaders for Agriculture" program, which trains the young farmers for the succession of the family business, to represent the farmers' interests at European and national level and to assume the role of leader in their own business and in the community. The first series counts 17 participating young farmers (2019-2020). Four of them go for internship in Brussels, at Romanian Representation in Brussels Agri section, European Landowners’ Organization (ELO), Farm Europe, and John Deere Public Affairs office.
  2. The Club launches, coordinates and finances the "Study on the necessity, opportunity and benefits of an integrated program for the rehabilitation of drainage facilities at the national level", carried out by the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Banat in Timișoara and specialists in land management, between October 2019 and March 2020, with the financial support of the member farmers from the Banat region.
  3. Romanian Farmers' Club is selected by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to participate in several working groups for the elaboration of the National Strategic Plan.

  1. Romanian Farmers' Club announces publicly its position regarding the arguments against capping and the anticipated negative impact on agriculture in Romania.
  2. The Club announces publicly its position regarding the European Union agreement with the MERCOSUR countries.

  1. Romanian Farmers' Club sends an official request to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development regarding enrollment in the working groups organized by the ministry in order to develop the National Strategic Plan.

  1. Romanian Farmers' Club announces publicly its position regarding the post-2020 CAP reform.

  1. The first National Conference of the Romanian Farmers' Club takes place at Romexpo Bucharest, attended by over 1,200 people, including more than 1,000 farmers from all regions of the country, together with representatives from the management of institutions in Brussels and Romania responsible for agriculture, European farmers' associations, national and international financial institutions, and major agricultural technology providers and insurance companies.

2018

December 2018

  1. The Association of Romanian Farmers' Club for Performant Agriculture is established by 10 high-performing farmers, representative at the national level, and the Agricover Group, as part of its social responsibility strategy.
  2. The Club's Board of Directors goes to Brussels, to meet the European Parliament, European farmers' associations and financial institutions’ representatives, in the context of the CAP reform negotiations.
